The first part of the Renaud album is finished. Among the people who played on it were Barney McKenna from The Dubliners, Terry Woods from The Pogues and Glem Hansard from The Frames, Emer Mayock from The Afro-Celts. Pete is now back working on Geldof's album. The vocals for Renaud will be done in Paris in a couple of weeks and then mixed in London.

Pete is currently in pre-production for the next Geldof CD. The Renaud album is now scheduled to start on the 13th. of April at Windmill Lane in Dublin. This will be a facinating mix of Irish and French music by the acclaimed French singer. Pete produced the platinum selling album 'Marchand De Cailloux' many years ago and is happy to be back working with Renaud again

Pete's career in the music industry spans 30 years as a musician, composer and producer. Pete first began with Bob Geldof as the co-founder of The Boomtown Rats with whom he played bass and made six albums. During the ten years in the band he wrote and produced numerous album tracks and also co-wrote two top 5 singles Like Clockwork and Banana Republic. Early in the nineties he bagan working as a producer and had huge success with the French artist Renaud whose album sold over two million. He also teamed up with Tricky and soon became his musical director, touring for nearly two years and playing on his groundbreaking Maxinquaye album as well as producing most of the Nearly God album which included contributions from Damon Albarn, Alison Moyet and Bjork. He also produced The Frames album Fitzcarraldo As a producer and songwriter and musician he has worked with an eclectic number of artists adding his special talents to records by Bob Geldof, Kirsty McColl, Renaud, Glen Hansard, The Frames, A , Metisse, Nillson, Nick Cave, Tiger, Robert Palmer as well as working with some exciting new acts. His last production was an album by new British band The Sea at Metropolis studios. He composed the music for the feature film THE RAT starring Imelda Staunton and Pete Postelthwaite, composed the music for the first Judge John Deed drama starring Martin Shaw for the BBC, The Jilly Cooper drama The Man Who Made Husbands Jealous for ITV and last year composed the music for the BBC 1 documentary series Geldof in Africa. Last year he produced the music for the comedy film 'I Am Bob' by writer and director Donald Rice for Clockwork Productions and Channel 4. His most recent film commission has been the sound track for the documsntary "Too Proud To Die" by Director Tiffany Freisberg. ...........................................................................................................................................................
