I’ve been trying to make music since a recorder was put in my mouth when I was 4 years old. After I was 4, my Gran taught me to play the piano and I had lessons until I got bored. This seemed like a sensible decision at the time but as soon as I had to do actual boring things like essays and stuff, I quickly realised it wasn’t so smart. I played the cello for a bit at school and played in some orchestras and things. I sang in a choir and got to see St Paul’s Cathedral which was nice. But I had to wear a dress and that wasn’t very nice.I stopped playing the cello at 16 which was a bit like stopping the piano, except this time I decided to pick up a guitar straight after. Dad showed me some chords and the rest I made up. I started writing some songs and they were rubbish so I carried on writing until I wrote some good ones.In 2007, a man at Walden guitars thought the songs were good and said he wanted to add me to their artist roster which was nice. Later on that day, some people at An Airde thought the songs were good too and said they wanted to help me make a CD. So in 2008 I did, with some friends. In December that year I independently released my debut, Temporary State and we had a big party with crisps and things. It’s called Temporary State because I reckon that sometimes it can be too easy to become obsessed with the ‘now’ and then we lose perspective on what really matters in life. You can buy the CD from myspace.com/joshbuncemusic or you can download it from itunes or amazon or even direct from here at youbloom store. keep listening, Josh
