I am so surprised that I have won so many times in the bloom or gloom.   I want to say thank you to my friends who have signed up just to vote for me and are enjoying the site.    Also I have so happy that so many of your are liking my music and buying my songs as well.  This really warms by heart and makes me want to keep pressing on with what is me and my dream.  

I am not entering a song for awhile in the contest because I am starting to feel bad for winning so much.  I want to give some one else a shot and there are way to many good artists in the mix who are deserving of some attention.   I have a whole new project or album I am working on now.   World apart, end of the world on tv are the first two songs off of it.   I have another one called Canvas of waves, that I am really excited about and I hope you all come back to take a listen when I have it up.   I know most of the stuff you hear on the page is very rough, I hope to have the time and energy to put some more effort into the recording or even the money to take them into the studio.    Please keep on following and feel free to download anything you want.  I love that youbloom allows good music to get out there for free.  So take take take... I am glad to give it out.

Mt. Shasta, Ca. -  Sounds like Shavon is a solo acoustic singer/songwriter.  She started writing songs in high school for the choir and also her youth group.  She recorded her first album, “shavon Okay…Nevermind”, in 2002 in Ortega Studios.  Life  pulled her away from her music for awhile but she is now trying to regain the focus and energy she needs to get back in the saddle.  

Sounds Like Shavon’s newest single, “Liar, Crier, Fool” is off of her new CD, “Not Obliviously Alien”.    The single title says it all -  facing judgments and over coming them – not caring what others think or say.   Her mission is to allow her audience to truly understand who she is.  Her mission statement is she is who she is and accept it for what it is.  

Everything that she writes comes from her life.  Her daily life brings struggles and joy, as it does to every human being.  Sounds Like Shavon has the talent to bring it to life so that we all understand and it’s done eloquently.  Her voice is powerful, her lyrics are wonderful and that guitar has no shame at all!  Beautifully played and performed.  

The completion of the recording of this new CD is about complete and should be out by summers end.  

“At this point, I am really just trying to get my music licensed, and out there to be heard.  I want to get my stuff finished in the studio and then up all over the net.  My album is priority 1.  After that,  we plan on a move to Austin, Texas, because it’s a great scene there for performing.  I want to hit the stage a lot to promote this album.  This is the one I hope takes me where I wanna be”.
